Elevator Price

Visi-48 Home ElevatorIt's hard to tell if you've received a good elevator price. It all depend on various factors like supplier, style, drive system, and even speed. One of the major specifications that determines price is the drive system.

Let's take a look at the following drive systems and how they will affect the price of your new elevator.

Hydraulic Drive – The Hydraulic drive system is a common system that powers both residential and commercial elevators. This system is popular not only because it's quiet but also because of its incredibly smooth ride. This system is used in high quality, luxurious elevators, and is anything but cheap. If you're looking to save money, getting an elevator with a hydraulic drive system is not the way to do. Annual maintenance is a must, and with so many moving parts, something will need to be replaced at least every other year. Installation is expensive, as well, so be prepared to pay a premium price for this highly coveted system.

Winding Drum – An elevator with a winding drum system does not provide the silent, smooth ride that the hydraulic drive provides; however, this system is very dependable. If finances are tight, you can rest assured that an elevator with a winding drum system could save you a lot of money, especially on installation. The only drawback, financially, to this type of system is that it does require some yearly maintenance, although it's nothing compared to the hydraulic drive system.

Vacuum Tube – If you don't fancy the winding drum but finances won't allow you to go with a hydraulic drive system, the vacuum tube is the next best thing. Although this system costs just as much as the hydraulic drive to install, you'll surely save money on maintenance. The vacuum tube system not only provides a smooth and quiet ride, but it's also very visually pleasing. The modern style looks great in just about any home! Again, installation is a bit pricey, but you'll save a considerable amount on little to no maintenance issues.
